Salary

The salary elements known to be fixed are maintained here with history tracking.

Each salary item is defined by:

• Amount in a certain value
• Payment frequency
• Type of salary
• Reason for change

Only one entry can exist for a type of salary at a time! If, for example, a new entry is created for "Basic salary", any data records that overlap in time are treated as subordinate and automatically delimited.

This means that the new entry will then exist completely as intended, and one or more previous entries may then have a changed "Valid from" and/or "Valid to".

Important: Please observe Time limitation and historization so that you achieve the intended effectiveness and historization!

Interaction with payroll

Please note that the "Payroll" workflow and the "Finance -> Salary" tab in the HR-Expert person editor act on the same data.

The "Payroll" workflow is ideally started when all salaries under "Finance -> Salary" are up to date. However, it is also possible to update salary components within the "Payroll" process itself, which are then saved back accordingly under "Finance -> Salary".

Retroactive salary changes may only be made via the "Payroll" workflow, as only this ensures that LeitnerLeitner is notified and thus involved.
